Frizz-Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Masque

Hi Lovelies, Hurray, the weekend is here! I have had the last 2 days off from work as holiday so I thought in this time I would drastically change my hair colour. I decided to darken the top part of my hair a little keeping my blonde ombre at the ends but have added streaks of pink and purple to my blonde ombre for a completely different look. A full blog post on my new hair and the products I used will be up next week.
As I wear hair extensions I find when washing them I need a good treatment to moisturise them and to keep them in top condition. I have previously used the Moroccan Oil Mask and all of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Treatments but lately I've been searching for a better treatment as both of these brands seem to still make my hair frizz up and still feel dry after drying... This is where the Frizz-Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Mask* comes in!

The Frizz-Ease Miraculous Recovery Intensive Mask is a deep treatment that contains avocado oil. This helps to visibly repair and fortify dry, damaged, frizzy hair and to help protect against breakage.
I applied a generous amount of the mask to the mid-lengths and ends of my clean wet hair and clipped it up into a bun to let it work it's miraculous magic for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I rinsed and then went onto styling my hair as I normally would.
As soon as I got out of the shower I noticed how smooth it felt and as I started to dry my hair it continued to stay smooth and silky and didn't frizz up like it normally does. Even this morning my hair is still feeling smooth and silky and it still smells yummy too.

This is by far one of the best treatments I have used for my hair and it tops all of the high-end treatments that I have used too. It is also a bargain for £5.99 and is available to purchase from Boots, Superdrug and also from leading Supermarkets.

Have you tried the Frizz-Ease Intensive Mask? What's your favourite treatment/mask that you like to use on your hair?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Models Own Fireworks Collection

Hello my Lovelies. If Models Own haven't released enough nail polishes lately, they have also added the Fireworks Collection to their amazing range. This glitter explosion contains 5 ultra fun nail polishes that have a clear base packed full of numerous colourful glitter all in various shapes and sizes.
I know some people are getting bored of the whole 'glitter top coat look' but I personally still love it. It's a great way of adding something different to your old nail polishes and you can create your own custom look by choosing a different base coat and also by how many coats of glitter you apply on top.

The 5 Nail Polishes in the Models Own Fireworks Collection are:

Sparkler... A mix of holographic silver strands.
Catherine Wheel... A mix of four glitters, including mini gold strands and red polka dots.
Banger... A mix of five glitters, including long blue strands and fuchsia polka dots.
Roman Candle... A mix of six glitters, including black and silver strands with a fuchsia polka dot base.
Rocket... A mix of seven glitters, including long red strands, a fine black and gold base with orange polka dots.

I tried out Banger, Catherine Wheel and Roman Candle and I used 2 coats of nail polish. I love these nail polishes as they are buildable so you can create so many different glitter effects and I also didn't find them too much of a pain to get off.
My favourite shades out of the 3 that I tried has to be Banger and Roman Candle. I love Banger because it is so jam packed full of glitter and strands, and it also looks great on top of one of my favourite bright pink nail polishes. I love Roman Candle because it's so girlie and fun and this looks great on top of a white nail polish.

I really need to get the shades Sparkler and Rocket to add to my collection as glitter nail polish is one of my favourite things and I think the Fireworks Collection is one of the best collections I've seen from Models Own.

The Models Own Fireworks Collection retails at £5.00 each and is now available from the Models Own Bottleshop. Online from 2nd September, In Boots from 4th September and in Superdrug from 25th September.

Is the Fireworks Collection something you can see yourself purchasing? What's your favourite shade?

Hope you are all having a lovely week so far, Who's looking forward to the weekend?

Guest Post | Dark Ombre Nails by Nicola - Chatty Nics

Hi everyone, I'm Nicola from chatty nics where I run a beauty and lifestyle blog but my main passion is nail art. The lovely Sarah offered for me to guest blog, I know she likes to feature NOTD posts so I thought I would show you all my latest favourite ombre combination - blue and black. It's not the most fitting for summer but it will be autumn before we know it! I also think the black would look good with red and a glitter over the top nearer christmas but anyway onto the nails!

I was recently sent Midnight's Secret by Jacava London (there is a full review on my blog) and it is the perfect royal blue for this look. It has a slight shimmer to it which makes it really easy to blend. For the black I used Sinful Colours Black on Black, this range is quite new in Boots and is really good value for money. All the polishes are £1.99 they last well and have a huge range of colours!

So get yourself a mid blue shade, a black and a sponge - this can be a cosmetic sponge or cleaning it doesn't make any difference to the effect.

Ombre is a really easy look to create. Start by painting your nails with the blue as a base coat then paint the black onto a sponge and gently press it onto the tips and half way down the nail. To soften the line where the two colours meet paint the blue onto the sponge and dab this over the join. Finish with a top coat to smooth it out, this also helps the colours to look more blended, and you're done!

I hope you've enjoyed this post and let me know if you try out this look! Thanks again to Sarah for letting my guest on her wonderful blog!

You can find me on bloglovin or twitter @chattynics.

Weekly Ramblings #28

Hi Everyone, Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. After a hectic 2 weeks of having my boyfriends children for 2 weeks while their Mum was on her Honeymoon we finally had a night off just the two of us on Saturday Night so we decided to go out for a meal and a few drinks. We was home by 9pm though as we had to get back for our Puppy Alfie... It's like having a new born baby, bless him.
The weather has been really nice over the bank holiday so we was at a barbecue yesterday with all the children again and have been enjoying the weather today by going out on a walk in the countryside.
My little Princess Lily has gone away for a few days to Wales so I'm missing her loads, but she has called me everyday and has been telling me how much fun she is having.

I'm off now as I've got to work this bank holiday...Unlucky me.

Hope you all enjoy yourselves.

OOTN | Chi Chi Callie Dress

Dress: Chi Chi*
Shoes: Asos (old)

Hi Lovelies! Hope you all have lots planned for this weekend. This weekend I'm off on a date night with my Boyfriend as we have finally got a night together so we are going to go for a nice meal and have a few drinks. Last weekend I wore this gorgeous Callie dress from Chi Chi, It has a very pretty yet elegant white cap sleeve lace top with a royal blue skater style skirt. The skirt also has a netted under skirt to give it added oomph and also has a very flattering open back with bow detail. It also matches my tattoo! You can also see my new Sugar Skull Tattoo on my arm in these photo's too.
I teamed the Chi Chi Callie dress with my favourite Asos heels and I also added my plain silver bracelet too (I took the photo's before I put it on) as I didn't want anything too over the top as the dress has so much going on itself.

I think this dress is really girlie and cute and it would be ideal as a prom dress, for a night out or for a party.

I will also have an outfit post up Tomorrow or Monday on what I'm wearing out tonight.

Are you up to anything this weekend?
Have a lovely weekend.

Caribbean Essentials Restore Massage & Bath Oil

Hi Everyone, Hooray the weekend is here! A few weeks ago I received the Caribbean Essentials Massage and Bath Oil to try out. Bath Oils are one of my favourite products to use in the bath as they leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised.
The Caribbean Essentials Restore contains a solar plexus and sacral chakra blend that will heal the senses with energetic, therapeutic, romantic and restorative possibilities. I found that adding the oil to the bath created a relaxing scent and after bathing my skin was soft and moisurised.
I'm not one for giving massages, as my Boyfriend will tell you. I find it really boring and after 1 minute I'm bored but I'm extremely partial to receiving a massage which my Boyfriend is always willing to give. While having a massage with the Caribbean Essentials Restore I found the scent was again relaxing, warming and also rejuvenating. Also this product also has therapeutic possibilities like: Anti-inflammatory, eases aches & pains, immune system stimulating and good for digestive imbalances.

Caribbean Essentials also has a Release Massage and Bath Oil that is uplifting and helps with problems such as anxiety and insomnia.

For more details and to purchase any of the Caribbean Essentials products, check out their Website. The Massage and Bath Oils retail at £14.50.

Enjoy your Weekend.

Models Own Velvet Goth Collection

Hi Everyone! 2013 seems to be the year for the release of tonnes of new nail polishes and Models Own are adding another new 5 nail polishes to their range. Say hello to the Velvet Goth Collection.
The Velvet Goth Collection consists of 5 dark and mysterious shades, Valerian: A rich bottle blue, Sardonyx: A blood scarlet red, Amethyst: A royal purple, Absinthe: A deep emerald green and Obsidian: A deep charcoal grey.

After trying out 3 of the shades from the Velvet Goth Collection I found that they apply glossy but dry matte, So here's me thinking that my nails were going to be rough to touch as the polish has a textured finish but to my surprise they look textured but feel smooth. Also if you're not keen on the matte finish you can always top it off with a gloss top coat.
The Velvet Goth nail polishes are also quick drying and out of the 3 shades I've tried I only had to apply 2 coats but personally I think Obsidian could have done with a 3rd. I love all the shades in the Velvet Goth Collection as full on glitter polishes can look a little OTT to wear daily but the velvet goth nail polishes are more subtle with their 2D finish but the hint of glitter and sparkle pieces gives a finish like no other.
They also come with cute colour matched fuzzy velvet caps too which I think looks rather ellegant.

The Models Own Velvet Goth Collection retails at £5 each and is launched exclusively at the Models Own Bottle Shop on the 24th August, On the Models Own Website from 2nd September, In Boots Stores Nationwide from 4th September and in Superdrug from 25th September.

Don't forget to follow @ModelsOwn on twitter and use #VelvetGoth to show off any Velvet Goth purchases or any Velvet Goth Manicures.

What's your favourite shade from the Velvet Goth Collection? Are you going to be purchasing any of the new range?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Models Own A/W Artstix Elements Collection

Hi Lovelies, A few months ago I did a post on the Models Own Artstix Collection and now they have launched their Autumn/Winter Artstix Elements Collection which are inspired by the elements Fire, Air, Water and Earth. Each duo can be worn individually or be worn together for maximum impact.

In the Artstix Elements Collection their are 4 colour options:
Terra Crystal – Terra Firma and Pink Crystal
Cloud Drops– Cloud 9 and Dew Drops
Ember Red – Hot Red and Ember Glow
Blue Spray – Blue Maldives and Sea Spray

I have the shade Blue Spray which is Blue Maldives: A gorgeous metallic blue and Sea Spray: a silver and black confetti with silver diamond pieces. I really like this shade as the blue is such a gorgeous colour on it's own and the glitter looks great on top of all of your nails or just on your ring finger.
I also have the shade Terra Crystal which is Terra Firma: A deep chocolate colour and Pink Crystal: A silver glitter with some black confetti and pink hexes. Terra Firma isn't a shade that I'm too keen on but I actually like the random combination of Terra Firma and Pink Crystal together and I think Pink Crystal makes Terra Firma look much better.

Out of the other 2 shades in the collection I think I need to purchase Cloud Drops as this is something I can see myself wearing.

Models Own Artstix is available from the Models Own Bottle Shop, Online and also at Boots.

Have you tried the new Models Own Artstix Elements Collection? What's your favourite shade?

Puppy Talk #3

Hi Everyone! Alfie has settled in nicely after being with us for 4 weeks now. He loves going for walks and is also great off his lead when we take him for a stroll down an old railway walk. I think he knows where his bread is buttered! Training wise he is great, after being with us for a week he would sit and lie down and now he has even mastered roll over. We are just now working on him bringing his ball back to us instead of keeping it to himself! Ha.

While in Ikea over the weekend I picked up a few 'Puppy Proof' teddies and a soft ball which he loves to play with and I find they are also great for when they are teething too. I also picked up a handy storage box to fit all of his toys in and they had it in red too so it ties in with my living room colours and keeps his toys nice and tidy.

Alfie is 13 weeks old now and I think within the next couple of weeks I'm going to wean him from using his puppy pads and for him to start doing his business outside. So if anyone has any tips on making this change then please let me know.

Hope you are all having a lovely week. Not long until the weekend!

Barry M Confetti is a feather effect nail polish that looks a little like hundreds and thousands, You can can change up your boring nail polish by adding this on top for a different on trend look.

NOTD | Floral Stripes

Hi Lovelies, A quick NOTD Post of my nails that I painted Sunday Night. Every Sunday I paint my nails, along with a couple of days in the week; But this week I wanted to do something a little different on my nails, so I opted for floral and stripes with an ombre middle finger.

On all my nails apart from my middle finger I applied 2 coats of Barry M Guava then using my Avon dotting tool I added a floral design to my thumb and ring finger using Barry M Matt White and Rimmel Sunshine. For the stripes I used Barry M Matt White using the brush end on my Avon dotting tool, Then lastly for my Ombre middle finger I applied a stripe of Barry M Matt White to my Cosmetic Sponge and then a stripe of Barry M Guava. I then dabbed the cosmetic sponge onto my nail creating an ombre effect. I will do a more in-depth tutorial on how to do ombre nails for those of you that don't know next week.
To finish off I applied my favourite Rimmel Top Coat to all of my nails.

I really love nail art and doing something a little different to my nails, so if you have any great ideas on nail art then let me know.

What's your favourite nail art?

Weekly Ramblings #27

Hi Lovelies, Hope you are all ok and have had a lovely week. It's been another hectic week again! What with it being the 6 weeks holidays and also my Boyfriends Children are staying with us for 2 weeks. So juggling all that with working and also out Little Puppy Alfie too, it has been mega madness!
On the plus side though, While shopping in Asda yesterday I noticed they had a huge sale on their clothing, So while doing my food shopping I also picked up an outfit for a bargain of £21. I felt like I deserved a little treat and for only £21 it didn't make me feel guilty either!

So this week my Boyfriends Children will be going back to their Mums until next week as she is back off her Honeymoon and also this weekend Lily is having a sleepover, So Me and My Boyfriend have decided to have a well deserved night out together as we have both been so busy and feel like we have hardly had any time with each other. What we are doing or where we are going, Who knows!

I hope you are all having a lovely week so far. Did any of you go to V Festival the weekend? Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Monthly Favourites | July

Hi Lovelies, How time flies eh? It's been 2 months since I last did a Monthly Favourites Blog Post (Hello busy life!) So now I've finally got a little extra time here are my favourite products from the month of July.

Rituals... Happy Buddha Foaming Shower Gel.

This product is such a great little invention! I've seen foaming shower gels before but this one gives a serious foaming sensation! It smells divine with it's Mandarin and Yuzu fragrance and because it's a foam it also works great for shaving your legs too! Hello multitasking.

Rituals... Touch of Happiness Body Cream.

I'm so lazy when it comes to moisturising my body unless I have a cream that smells that good that I can't wait to slap it all over my body (yes that sounds a little random), but this is so rejuvenating and refreshing with it's Sweet Orange and Cedar Wood fragrance that I love using it and even my boyfriend has took a liking to using it too!

VO5 Refresh Me Quick Dry Shampoo.

Come on girls, You've got to admit we all love a good dry shampoo. After years of using Batiste I noticed this in Superdrug a few weeks ago on a special offer so I thought I would give it a try. It is on par, if not a little better than Batiste. It is a great dry shampoo that doesn't leave your hair looking white and it also has a gorgeous sweet fragrance too. They also do a volume one too which I think I may have to try out next.

Barry M Confetti.

I'm yet to blog about these Barry M Confetti Nail Polishes but a full review will be coming up on my blog within the next week. The Confetti nail polishes are like having Hundreds and Thousands on your nails and it also adds something a little different to your nail colour.
I have the shades Dolly Mixture, which is a mix of blue, yellow and orange confetti and Sour Apple, which is a mix of turquoise blue and yellow confetti. Their are also 3 other shades in the Confetti Collection: Licorice, Marshmallow and Bubblegum.

Barry M Nail Art Pen.

Throughout June and July I have been loving using my Barry M Nail Art Pen to create a leopard print nail look, as it's really simple to do with this felt tip-like pen and I think it looks really cute too.
You can check out a full review on my blog and also check out my Pastel Leopard Manicure and Pink and Grey Leopard Manicure

MUA Pistachio Ice Cream.

How gorgeous is this nail colour? This nail polish is a dupe for Essie's Mint Candy Apple yet for a fraction of the price as it only costs £1. It's a really pretty colour and I have been wearing it so much that it is starting to run out. *Sad Face*.
You can check out my MUA £1 Nail Polish Collection HERE!

Sleek Lipstick Palette - Siren.

As we had some gorgeous sunshine last month I have been loving wearing the orange/coral shades in this palette on my lips and for meeting Grazia's Charlie Miller at Selfridges a few weeks ago I decided to wear Love Me (top left) which I didn't think would suit me when I first purchased this palette but now I absolutely love it. Love me is a gloss rather than the other shades in the palette which are Satin or Matte, so this means it can get a little messy but I just apply it with my lip brush and then blot it with a little tissue to give the perfect finish.
I'm not usually keen on lip palettes but Siren has 4 gorgeous shades that have suited this summer perfectly.
You can check out my full review including swatches Here.

Sleek Blush - Life's a Peach.

I purchased this blush when I purchased the Siren Lip Palette as it compliments and looks fab with all the lip colours in the Siren Palette. It's a gorgeous coral orange shade that gives you a gorgeous summer looking blush. A full review will be coming on my blog soon.

So that is my favourites from the month of July. What have you been loving throughout July?

Hope you all have a fab weekend.
