NEW! Models Own Ice Neon Collection

Hi Lovelies,
Ice Neon is the latest collection coming to us from Models Own. This clever little invention requires the new Ice Neon collection to be refrigerated... You're probably thinking why? but this clever trick is inspired by the trick of keeping a glow stick in a fridge to slow the reaction down and to make the stick glow for longer, and Models Own apply the same principle to their gorgeous neon shades.

The only way to keep these fluro shades bright is to keep them cold. Ice neon is packed in specially designed frosted bottles which withstand the cold and protect the pigments from fading.
These on-trend neon shades will bring summer alive with their gorgeous fluro colour, they will also look great to wear alone or all mixed up on fingers and toes!

The Ice Neon shades are available in 5 gorgeous colours: Bubblegum, Toxic Apple, Luis Lemon, Pink Punch and Pukka Purple. They all give a gorgeous Matt finish, but for a shiny effect just add a top coat.

I was lucky to receive two of the shades to try out in Pukka Purple and Bubblegum.
Models Own nail varnishes are a favourite of mine as they dry super quick and give an even coverage just after one coat.
I mixed the colours up on my nails for a different effect and also applied a top coat on top.

I will definitely be purchasing the rest of collection as soon as they become available as these nail varnishes are a summer must-have.

The Ice Neon nail varnishes retail at £5.00 each - A Worldwide launch will be held exclusively at the Models Own Bottleshop on the 9th March, or you can pre-order online on the Models Own Website. The Ice Neon collecion will also be available in Boots stores nationwide from 22nd March.

What do you think or the new Models Own Ice Neon Collection? Which colours are your favourites?

Have a Lovely Day... TGIF!

My Guide on... Hair Extensions

Image:We Heart It... Edited by: Me

Hi Lovelies, I'm a huge Hair Extensions fan and have been wearing Hair Extensions for over 7 Years now, So I thought I would do a little guide to different types of Hair Extensions out there and those that I recommend and those that I don't.

Sew in & Glue in Weave Extensions.

These Hair Extensions are both applied using Hair Extension Tracks, which you can buy in a bulk and cut down to the desired size to fit your head.
The sew in process requires your hair to be braided to the scalp and then your tracks are then sewed into your braid, This process isn't really painful only if the person that's doing your Hair Extensions accidentally pokes you with the needle!
This process can last a while and look natural but I don't really like this method of applying Hair Extensions as if the braid is too big you will see a bulge in your hair and your hair can start to get really itchy after a while and you just feel like tearing your tracks and braids out so you can give it a good scratch!!
The glue in process is something I really DO NOT recommend, I have never tried the glue in process where the tracks are glued to your scalp after seeing friends loosing a lot of hair when they are trying to remove the glue after removing the tracks and also the glue isn't that great and after a while your tracks can start lifting in the corners, and this can look very unflattering if noticeable.

Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions.

This is a popular but expensive way of applying Hair Extensions and this process requires adding small strands of hair to your own hair by using a heat connector to melt the glue at the top of the bond and then it is rolled to bond to your own hair.
For a full head of Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions you are looking at 150-200 Strands or maybe more depending on your hair thickness and length.
This process of adding Hair Extensions to your hair is ok as long as they are done professionally and you maintain them properly, otherwise you can cause damage and breakage to your own hair.
I've done this process of adding Hair Extensions to other people's hair, but it isn't something as I'd have done on my own hair I'd rather have a 'non-glue' application.

Clip-in Hair Extensions.

Most Girls out there probably own a pair of Clip-in Extensions for night's out where they want to add a little length or thickness to their hair. I used to wear Clip-in Extensions for 5+ Years until I started wearing Micro Bead Extensions.
Clip-in Hair Extensions are great and you can purchase a wide range of colours and qualities on the Internet now as they are really popular.
I recommend highly that when you purchase Clip-in Hair Extensions that you make sure that they are 100% Human Hair, As I've brought some from local Hair Extensions Shops and they claim to be Human Hair but then if you check they are only 50% Human and 50% Synthetic so this means any heat applied will damage them and they won't last as long.
The only thing I can fault with Clip-in Hair Extensions is that they are an absolute pain in the butt to put in everyday, If you are only wearing them for the odd days then that's fine, but I used to wear them everyday and after a while it became a chore but thankfully I found Micro Bead Hair Extensions that I will be talking about after.
So Clip-in Hair Extensions are an easy way of adding Length/thickness to your hair and I highly recommend them as a great non-glue way of adding extensions to your hair.

Micro Bead Hair Extensions.

Micro Bead Hair Extensions are a fantastic way of wearing hair extensions as no heat, chemicals or glue are used in the application.
Application of Micro Beads involves taking a small section of your hair, applying a bead to your hair, inserting extension hair strand into the bead and then the bead is clamped shut using a pair of pliers.
Micro Beads are lined with silicone on the inside to protect your own hair and as your hair grows the Micro Beads can easily be moved up and tightened again.
I have done Micro Bead Hair Extensions on my own hair, but I am a qualified hairdresser, I highly recommend you have your extensions done professionally as incorrect application can cause damage to your hair.

Micro Beads are also a great way of just adding length to certain places, i.e if you have a sweeping fringe but would like it a little longer then they can be added just into your fringe, also they are a great way for adding colour/highlights into your hair.

I highly recommend Micro Beads if you are looking for a more long lasting type of hair extensions and my 2nd favourite type of hair extensions are clip-ins, Just make sure whatever method you decide to wear your hair extensions, always buy a good quality brand of hair.

I hope you find this post useful, and if you're a little unsure about hair extensions or want to know a little more about hair extensions then please comment below and I will get back to you.

Here are a few of my favourite websites for Hair Extensions that I recommend:
Halo Hair Extensions
Hair Trade
Foxy Hair Extensions
Super Model Hair
Foxy Locks

FD Avenue Floral Midi Dress | Styled 3 Ways

Hi Lovelies, Last week I received a gorgeous Floral Midi Dress* from FDAvenue.com, And as a Style Blogger for FD Avenue I had to style the dress in as many ways that I could, So I thought I would show you how versatile the dress is by showing you 3 different ways you can wear it.

Spring/Summer Daytime Look.

Dress: FD Avenue*
Sandals: Zara
Ring: Topshop (old)
Sunglasses: Present from America

For a Spring/Summer Daytime look I styled the outfit really simple as the design speaks for itself! This dress would be perfect for Spring/Summer if like me you aren't too keen on getting your legs out! I must admit that when I see the sunshine I do love to find a pretty little sundress or a pair of shorts but this dress will keep you cool in the summer and won't make you look overdressed with it's respectable midi length.

Work/Office Look.

Dress: FD Avenue*
Tights: Primark
Shoes: Next
Bag: Dorothy Perkins (old)
Bracelet: Own (gift)

This dress can easily be transformed into a work look by adding a pair of tights and a pair of low court shoes. Who said you can't look glam in the office?

Evening/Going Out Look.

Dress: FD Avenue*
Shoes: Asos (old)
Bag: Asos (old)
Bracelets: Own (both gifts)

For a 'going out look' I've added my favourite killer heels from Asos, they are super high but with the platform at the front it makes them super easy to walk in.
I think for an evening look this outfit looks classy yet sophisticated and with it's midi length it means you're not revealing too much!

Before I received this midi dress it wasn't something I would pick up in a shop and choose to wear, but after wearing this dress and styling it I think I will be purchasing a lot more ready for spring/summer! I have my eye on quite a few on the FD Avenue Website.

Have you tried out any Midi Dresses yet? Whats your favourite FD Avenue Midi Dress?

Have a Lovely Day.
P.s my photo quality seems to have gone really poor in my indoor photo's!! A new camera is much needed! Sorry x

Monday Manicure | Greenberry Queen

Hi Lovelies, Monday is here again and for my Monday Manicure I'm using Greenberry from the new Barry B Gelly Spring 2013 Collection and on top Models Own Dancing Queen.

The Barry M Greenberry photo's up more blue than it actually is...Random... But in 'real life' it's more of a green-blue minty tone.

What are you wearing on your nails Today?

Weekly Ramblings #1

Hi Lovelies, At the end of each week I've decided to do a 'Weekly Ramblings' post where I can tell you all what I've been up to during the last week.

♥ I was really excited this week as the mid-season break was finally over for The Walking Dead, Me and my boyfriend was so glad it was back on as the mid-season break seemed like forever and we couldn't wait for the amazing series to resume.
♥ There's a few illnesses going around this week, I had the worst cold ever and now my wisdom teeth are coming through...Ouch! Plus my little girl has got chicken pox! We knew it would be a matter of time until she got them as my boyfriends kids had them a few weeks ago, but she seems quite happy and excited that she's got them!
♥ This week was the week of L O V E with Valentines Day and I enjoyed it with the night off from work watching a film with the boyfriend and eating a yummy Chinese, But I was such an unflattering date with my horrible cold and cough! ha
♥ This weekend couldn't have come any quicker and thankfully I was feeling a little better! Weekends off are definitely for taking time to sit back and relax!
♥ My boyfriend started his own gaming blog this weekend, So I was helping him with his designs, His new blog is Here if you'd like to take a look. I also re-designed my blog too (let me know what you think)... So I did a lot of HTML'in this weekend!! ha

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I would love to hear what you think about this new 'weekly ramblings' blog post that I'm going to be doing every Sunday.

Enjoy your Sunday Night.

This might not be part of my Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle Blog, But my Boyfriend has started up his own Blog: IIIBorgatronIII Gaming Blog, As you can tell from the title this is a 'Gamer Blog' so this might not be all your 'cups of tea' but you never know some of you Girlies might be secret Gamers or that special Man in your life might like it!!

I've been telling him for a while not to start up his own Blog as he already has a Youtube and his Call of Duty montages are amazing.
On his blog he will be reviewing new games, showing gameplay and posting any Youtube videos he does on there too.

So if you're interested in Gaming or know someone that is, then why not check out his new Blog!

Plus I have done a little re-decorating on my blog... Let me know what you think.

Barry M Gelly Nail Effects | Spring 2013 Collection

Hi Lovelies, If your a huge lover of nail varnishes then you must be a fan of Barry M... They have a HUGE range of nail varnishes and their Gelly Nail Effects Collection is introducing 4 new Spring colours that are available from Today (13/2/13) in Superdrug and from 20th February in Boots.
Gelly Nail Effects were a huge hit last year, They give an amazing colour with a gorgeous high gloss 'gelly like' finish.

In the Spring 2013 range they have introduced 4 new shades that include: Papaya, Dragonfruit, Lychee and Greenberry.

I got to try out the gorgeous shade Greenberry*, Which is a gorgeous mint green/blue colour that is slightly greener than my photo's above... Sorry my camera wouldn't photograph the true colour properly, Plus excuse my nails as they are all broken and chipped! Roll on summer where my nails grow lovely and long again!
...Anyway lets get back on track! The Gelly Nail Effects are supposed to give a gorgeous finish even after one coat, but I do find they can go quite streaky so I always apply 2 coats.
The overall effect is super shiny and glossy without the need of a top coat... So at least that saves you having to sit around waiting for your top coat to dry too!

The Barry M Gelly Nail Effects retail at £3.99 and as previously mentioned are available NOW in Superdrug and from the 20th February in Boots.

I really love the colour of Greenberry and think it will look gorgeous with a tan, I also really want to try out Papaya too as it looks like a gorgeous Summer colour for your nails and toes too!

Have you purchased any Barry M Gelly Varnishes yet? Which is your favourite colour?

Have a lovely day
