St Tropez Dark Bronzing Mousse Review

Hi Lovelies, In the spring/summer I'm a huge fan of fake tan and St Tropez is one of my favourite brands! Last year when I heard that St Tropez was releasing a dark tan I couldn't wait to try it out and what better time to try it out than ready for my Birthday tomorrow.

I chose the St Tropez mousse tan as the mousse and gradual tan in St Tropez are my favourites. As with any other St Tropez mousse tan this was just the same to apply.
I always prep my skin 24 hours before by shaving, waxing, exfoliating and moisturising then just before I apply the tan I moisturise any dry patches I.e my knees, ankles and wrists.

The Results

All I can say is WOW! While applying the tan I noticed the colour guide was much darker than the original St Tropez colour guide, then I left it on overnight while I was asleep. When I woke up I looked like I had been in the Caribbean for the last 4 weeks and then when I washed off the colour guide I was left with a gorgeous deep golden tan.

I will never go back to the original St Tropez mousse now as the dark one gives such a fantastic colour the only thing it still has it that biscuit smell, but I guess that's what us girls have to put up with when we fake tan!!

St Tropez Dark Bronzing mousse is available from Hairtrade.com which is also one of my favourite websites for gorgeous Hair Extensions.

Have you tried out the St Tropez Dark Range? What's your favourite tan at the moment?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Laser Hair Removal @ Lush Beauty & Laser Clinic

Hi Lovelies!
I'm back after a week break as I was really poorly with the flu... OMG I have never felt so ill in my life, but finally I'm over it and back to being myself!
If you follow me on twitter you'll know that I recently had my first laser hair removal treatment at Lush Beauty and Laser Clinic in Wolverhampton., which is a gorgeous modern salon that has tonnes of amazing treatments to offer.

About SOPRANO XL Laser Hair Removal.

The Soprano XL utilises revolutionary new technology with GOLD STANDARD 810 diode laser system for permanent hair reduction. Our laser is dedicated to hair removal and uses the latest 'cooling' technology allowing the treatment to be virtually pain free. It's the world's first effective laser hair removal system to be FDA approved as "pain free".

- Suitable for every skin and hair type.
- No scarring or burns.
- For men and women alike.
- Faster and often with less clinic visits and less treatments needed.
- Less cost to you.
- Maximum Comfort Minimum Fuss.
- Superior, more predictable, more reliable results.

Whether you wax, pluck or shave those hairs, they never stay away for long and will always come back. This Laser hair removal treatment is a safe and proven long-term solution to removing those unwanted hairs. It works by focusing a laser beam at the base of unwanted hair follicles, causing them to stop producing hair. For the treatment to be effective it uses the dark pigment present in some hairs.

The treatment can be performed on almost any area of your body leaving you with that freshly removed hair feeling.

The laser is attracted to melanin, the dark pigment in hair. The energy from the laser travels down to the base of the hair follicle using melanin as a 'conductor' where it scatters as thermal energy. This damages the base of the hair follicle preventing it to produce hair as quickly. The rate of growth is dependent on the amount of sessions you take. As well as the laser needing melanin, the hair must also be in a certain stage of its growth cycle for the treatment to be effective. This cycle is known as the anagen or the 'active growing phase', which is when the hair is connected to the base of the hair follicle. This connection provides a direct pathway for the laser energy to disperse where the hair is produced at the base of the follicle. Not every hair follicle is in this phase at any one time on the body which is why you will need multiple treatments. This is referred to as telogen or the "resting phase".

My Laser Hair Removal Treatment.

Prior to my first laser treatment I had a consultation where the lovely Claire explained the procedure to me and I also filled in a questionnaire to notify if I have any health or skin problems.
I also had a patch test during my consultation to make sure I didn't have a reaction and also to test how the laser feels on your skin.

Five days after having my patch test I had my first laser treatment on my under arms and I was surprised how pain free the treatment was! The beautician got me to use a 1-5 pain scale and the only time it reached 5 is when it started to feel a little hot with a pulling sensation but she stopped and turned it down to make sure it wasn't unpleasant.
The treatment took around 15 minutes and I only had a little redness on my under arms which was cooled down with a little Aloe Vera Gel.
I obviously wont see any difference in the growth of my hair as this is only my first treatment but altogether I will be having 1 treatment every 4 weeks for 6-8 sessions, So I will report back to you all after my next session to tell you my progress.

Have you ever tried or considered laser hair removal?

If you are interested and are local to the West Midlands area then I highly recommend you trying Lush Beauty and Laser Clinic as this is something they specialise in highly.

Hope you are all having a lovely week.

My Favourite Shopping Street in the World | New York 5th Avenue ♥

I thought it was great when TravelSupermarket asked me to collaborate with them. They designed this infographic for me on why I'd Love to shop on 5th Avenue in New York. It was a tough decision of where to choose as I love shopping in London and Paris and Milan look like fantastic shopping capitals too. But in the end, I decided on New York because of the eclectic mix of shops I can choose from.

What would be your favourite shopping street in the world?

Heaven by Deborah Mitchell | Ella Jane Celebrity Skin Wipes

"Soft, Thick and Luxurious Organic Cotton Facial Wipes"

Hi Lovelies, The lovely Deborah Mitchell has launched a new product to her famous Heaven Brand - Ella Jane Celebrity Skin Wipes.
Ella Jane Celebrity Skin Wipes were actually created and developed by Deborah's 15 year old Daughter - Ella Jane. So with Ella's idea and Deborah's expertise, together they created a Skincare formula designed to be incorporated in a facial wipe which keeps skin feeling fresh, rejuvenated and also hydrated.

These wipes are like no other facial wipes I have tried, made with naturally absorbent 70gsm 100% Cotton these wipes will not only last longer but will also be more gentler on your skin.
Containing Apple Pectin which works to dissolve and exfoliate skin cells, these facial wipes soften your skin as well as giving it a gentle but deep cleanse.
The Honey Ingredients work to heal the skin whilst the extracts of peppermint help balance oily areas.
Suitable for all skin types, the extra ingredient of peppermint is great for keeping those unflattering blemishes at bay!

First of all when I read that they contained peppermint I thought it might sting my eyes as my eyes do get quite sensitive... but it didn't!
The peppermint gently cools your skin after use and the super soft cotton doesn't leave you with red patchy skin (as other high street/drugstore brands can do) but they fee, really soft and like silk gliding across your skin.
I'm also surprised at the size of the wipes as they are much bigger than high street brands, meaning you won't be looking for a clean patch on your wipe to get your eye makeup off with, and you can easily get all your makeup off with one wipe with room to spare!

These wipes are fantastic for me as generally most of the time I'm only a 'face wipe girl' as having a busy lifestyle means it's normally quickly get my makeup off, then bed! But for extra cleansing the wipes can be used with any other Heaven cleansing products, making them the first ever facial wipes to use with your daily Skincare routine.
Every couple of days I have also been using the facial wipes with my favourite Heaven Limited Edition Cleansing Milk and Devine Cream. Plus I always have a monthly facial using the famous Bee Sting Facial Home Kit.

Heaven Ella Jane Skin Wipes retail at £7.30 and are available from the Heaven Website, Her salon in Shifnal and also any other stockists that may be local to you. All details of local stockists can be found on the Website too, and if you are Worldwide you can check out distributors Here!

The Ella Jane Skin Wipes are now an everyday favourite of mine!

Have you tried any Heaven Products, or even the new Ella Jane Skin Wipes?

Would you consider using these facial wipes in your everyday Skincare routine?

Hope you are all having a lovely day.

My Guide to Blogging ♥

Image: Weheartit Edited by: Me

Hi Lovelies, I've only been blogging for just over a year now and I wouldn't say I'm a 'pro' at blogging yet but I thought I would do my own guide on blogging for any girls that are interested in starting up their own blog or if your still new to blogging.

**PLEASE NOTE** In this blog post I'm not telling anyone how to blog, I'm sharing some advice and guidance on what I've learnt from blogging, and I wouldn't want this post to come across in the wrong way... Just thought I'd clear that up before we get started.

Why do you want to start a blog?

Make sure you are starting a blog for all the right reasons!... I see so many girls lately starting blogs because they think they are going to get tonnes of free stuff... But it doesn't work like that!
Companies will only get in touch with you if they think your content is good and you generate enough traffic to your blog. Believe me it is a privilege to receive items to try out and review but blogging should be much more than that!
To me blogging is kind of a hobby, and I love writing new posts that I think people would be interested in and also giving you reviews on new products I've purchased and also showing makeup/nail looks.

Think of an appealing name.

For a while before I started blogging I couldn't think of a name for my blog, then finally I came up with Oh So Glam but I thought I would change it up a little and make it Ohh So Glam!
It's best to be 100% certain on the blog name you choose as the last thing you want to do is change your name and get all your readers confused!

Followers don't come overnight...

Believe me, for a good number of weeks I thought I was talking to myself as I only had a handful of followers! But it's not about how many people you've got following you, it;s about your views and the lovely comments you get off readers that have come across your blog.
I've only got just over 300 followers at the moment and yet I see other girls with 2000+, but this really doesn't bother me because it shouldn't be about who's got the most followers etc! As long as your content is good and people that come across your blog that read it also enjoy your content that that's all that should matter!
A great way to share your blog and also find some other great blogs is by using #bbloggers on twitter, They also have a #bbloggers chat every Wednesday and Sunday and at the end of the hour chat all girls swap links.

PR Companies.

As previously mentioned I wouldn't recommend as soon as you've started up a blog to pester PR Companies thinking you will get free stuff, as this won't happen!
A lot of PR Companies are always welcome to send you press releases and images of upcoming product releases, So sometimes it doesn't hurt to send an email to be added to their mailing list to receive this information.
Remember if you are lucky to receive any free samples to blog about always give an honest opinion and I always mark all free products with an (*).

Social Media.

Twitter is a huge favourite of mine as it is used by millions of people and I find it a great way to share blog posts.
There are a few Hash tags that are used by bloggers on twitter: #bbloggers - Beauty Bloggers #fbloggers - Fashion Bloggers and #lbloggers - Lifestyle Bloggers, I use these hash tags when I tweet about a latest blog post as they make them easier for other bloggers to find.
I also have my blog linked to Blog lovin', She said beauty and Hello cotton, these are also great to sign up to as it can help get your blog more noticed.

Looks are everything...

They say you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but when it comes to blogging I think your blog design is one of the most important things!
When someone reads your blog for the first time they will always think 'oh well this looks pretty' or they might think 'omg this is really cluttered' and I think it's best to get a good design that reflects you as a person and that also makes your blog look really welcoming.
If you're new to blogging then you might be a little baffled on how to design your blog! I was totally confused when I saw HTML code etc and I didn't get the hang of it straight away, but after lot's of trial and error I finally got my blog looking how I wanted it.
If you do get stuck on designing your blog, other blogs and google can help you out with this too, with easy step by step guides. One of my favourite websites is Shabby Blogs as they have some really cute backgrounds and buttons for your blog.
There are also other bloggers out there that can design your blog for you too... and also for a cost. But if you just want a design done quick and easy then this could be an option for you.

Photography.

When I first started blogging I used my iPhone camera to take photos but I had to keep them small otherwise they looked really pixelated, but for a while now I have been using a Samsung Camera and have them much bigger on my blog. Personally I think this is more appealing.
One of my favourite sites for editing photos is Ipiccy.

Planning.

Grab yourself a note book and a pen and plan your blog posts, I find this a great way to write up any drafts when you think of them and also to write down any ideas you might have. I always find ideas come to me at the most random times, so it's always best to keep a notepad and pen in your bag so you can brainstorm!
Lately I have been blogging more often than usual but don't feel pressured to blog everyday as it's up to you when you want to blog.
Planning your blog posts will help you get all your content together so then you can produce a good blog post. The last thing you want to be doing is writing up a rushed blog post that doesn't make any sense!

And last of all... Have fun!!

I hope my guide to blogging has helped any of you that has had any questions or anything and please remember this is only 'my guide' and not me telling you how you should blog!

Hope you are all having a lovely week... I'm just waiting for my new washing machine to be delivered! Yay exciting times!

P.S Don't forget to check out my Worldwide FD Avenue and Barry M Giveaway...

❤ This is a random one but my washing machine finally bit the dust this week, so I've been busy running around family's houses! But I really can't wait until next week when my new one will be delivered... But I guess that novelty will soon wear off!

Blogger Swap | Styling Novice ♥

Hi Lovelies, A while ago I did a blogger swap with the lovely Genna from Styling Novice. We both swapped goodies and I received these lovely items:

♥ MUA Eyeshadow Trio - Innocence
♥ Barry M - Pink Sapphire
♥ Miss Sporty Nail Varnish - 35
♥ MUA Lipstick - Shade 3
♥ And I also had a Miss Sporty Lipstick in pink but I've been using it and it's rummaging around in my car somewhere!

I'm really please with all the items that I received from Genna, My favourite has to be the MUA Eyeshadow that I recently mentioned in my February Monthly Favourites Blog Post as it's something I now use in my everyday makeup routine.
The item that I would never have purchased myself is the MUA lipstick as I never thought brighter lipsticks suited me...Until now!

I will be doing full reviews on each product in the next couple of weeks and I want to thank Genna for all the lovely products she picked as I really do love them all!

Have you ever done a Blogger swap?

Have a Lovely Day.

Recipe | Homemade Toad in the Hole

Hi Lovelies, A recipe post for you today.
I'm a fan of cooking... But not of the washing up that comes with it! And I love to cook as many Homemade meals as I can each week, So I thought I would start doing a few recipe posts in my blog of my favourite Homemade meals I love to cook.

Homemade Toad in the Hole.

 Serves 3-4
You will need:
6-8 Pork Sausages
1 onion (optional)
225g Plain Flour
4 Eggs
250ml Milk
Pinch of Salt and Pepper
1-2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil

Step 1.
Preheat the oven to 200C or Gas 6.
Add desired amount of Sausages to a medium baking dish with 1-2 tablespoons of Vegetable oil and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes until sausages are slightly brown.

Step 2.
While the Sausages are browning off in the oven prepare the Batter Mix.
Add 225g of Plain Flour and 4 Eggs to a bowl and gradually whisk in the milk until you have a batter consistency, then add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Leave aside until needed.

Step 3.
Once the Sausages have browned off in the oven add 1 chopped onion (if desired) followed by the batter mix.

Step 4.
Place in the oven and leave to cook on 200C Gas 6 for 30-35 minutes or until Yorkshire pudding has risen and is golden brown.

Step 5.
Serve the Toad in the Hole with your favourite side dishes.
My favourite is to serve with mash potato and some seasonal vegetables.

Now who's going to do the washing up?

P.S I would love to hear your comments on me doing a few recipe posts on my blog and also if you do try the recipe then please let me know what you think.
Plus if you have a favourite Homemade meal you love to cook then let me know below.
