Restaurant Review | Revolution Birmingham

Hi Lovelies. Hope you are all having a lovely week so far. I have been super busy but on Sunday Me and my boyfriend got to try out the new menu at Revolution on Broad Street, Birmingham.
The menu has been created by executive chef, Mark Rush and his development team and the new menu is inspired by all things Americana, delivered with Revolution-style twist.

From the outside it looks like your typical bar on Broad Street, but on the inside it's super trendy and has an elegant feel about it. One of the only negatives we had was that we were greeted by a rather drunk man who was later taken away by Police... What a great start to the night! It did make us feel a little uneasy at first but obviously the staff complained about him that's why he was escorted away!

Back onto the food... For starter I had the Garlic Flatbread, really simple but a perfect starter for me as it was full of flavour yet it left room for my main and desert. My boyfriend had Houmous, Sun blushed Tomatoes and Flatbread which he said was extremely yummy, the Houmous was even served it a cute little jar too. Cocktails for starter I chose Cranberry Fizz which was really refreshing and also low calorie too (like it matters) and my boyfriend had his all-time favourite White Russian.

For main course our next selection of drinks were Bubblegum Sour for my boyfriend, which tasted just like bubblegum with added sweets and I did want a Bellini but they ran out of Peach purée so I ended up something that the waiter surprised me with and it was Prosecco mixed with raspberry (completely forgot the name) and it was super yummy! For food my boyfriend had The Bourbon Bad Boy, which was HUGEEE, even he couldn't eat it all. I opted for Fish and Chips which had crushed mint peas which were absolutely delish! Again, I couldn't eat all of mine because it was so huge! I really love how the food was presented on boards rather than plates, it gave it more of a rustic feel. I also tried Revolutions own 'House Ketchup' which was 100% better than original ketchup and was really sweet and had a smokey BBQ flavour.

Time for desert and my boyfriend was boring at stuck with his favourite New York Cheesecake. I thought I would be different and I decided to try the Chocolate & Blueberry Fluffwich. fluffy dough, sandwiched together with chocolate and fluff marshmallow in a sweet batter, served with blueberry sauce for dipping! This was really odd yet super yummy!
It would be rude not to end the night with another cocktail so my boyfriend decided to have Sweet Shop this time which tasted just like sweets and was also garnished with sweets! and I had a Pornstar Martini... Yummy, fruity passion fruit Martini served with a shot of Prosecco on the side... YUM YUM! I could have easily of drank more.

We really enjoyed our meal at Revolution in Birmingham and would more than happily eat there again. When we first got there it was really off putting with the drunk man and I did feel like walking out, if only it was situated somewhere better than Broad Street, as it isn't one of my favourite places in Birmingham!

10/10 on the service and food. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Have you tried the new menu at Revolution? What's your favourite food?

Cowshed Festival Treats

Cow Shed Cow Pat RRP £7.00 | Cowshed Wild Cow RRP £18.00

The festival season may be coming to an end but these little festival treats brought out by Cowshed are great to keep in the bottom of you handbag or to use while travelling.
These must-have beauties will ensure you feel fresh come rain or shine, or if you are attending any festivals, mud!

One item I like to keep in my handbag and in the car (especially because of my little girl) is Antibacterial Hand Gel. Cowshed's 'Cow Pat' is a natural antibacterial hand gel that is both hydrating and alcohol-free. Enriched with a corn-derived moisturiser, it will help leave your hands feeling fresh, super smooth and slightly fragranced. It also contains grapefruit seed extract with natural antibacterial properties, it will help to eliminate any common germs.

As mentioned in my previous Weleda Mini's Post, while on holiday I don't like to wear such a sweet scent during the day. Cowshed's 'Wild Cow' Invigorating Perfume Oil has such a fresh (and like it says) invigorating scent with it's lemongrass, ginger and rosemary fragrance. This fragrance is perfect for me to dab on while in the sunshine and with it being so small it will easily fit in the bottom of your beach bag or handbag.
I really want to try out the Horny Cow and Moody Cow fragrances as they sound hilarious!

Have you tried any Cowshed products before? Do any of these products appeal to you?

Cowshed is available from all Cowshed Spa's and Shops or online at

Lamb 1887 Wishlist

Handbags are probably a girls must-have accessory. Not only do they help us easily carry all of our everyday necessities they can also help to make a huge difference to the outfit that we are wearing.
Until yesterday I had never heard about the brand Lamb 1887 and found myself drooling over all of the handbags they have to offer.
If you have never heard of Lamb 1887 before it was created by Charlotte Lamb, the fourth generation in a family run British manufacturing business based in Yorkshire. Working in the City of London, Charlotte was inspired to create Lamb 1887 after struggling to find stylish quality handbags at affordable prices.

I have put together 5 of my favourite picks and a little description on why they are on my wishlist.

The Cap Ferrat Clutch in Black Suede & Yellow Snakeskin. RRP £82.00.
This is one of the first bags that caught my eye on the website. Such a simple yet pretty 'Princess cut' clutch that can be worn as a clutch bag with the strap concealed on the inside or over the body with its delicate gold chain.
I really love the black suede as this would look really elegant on a sophisticated night out and also the yellow snakeskin that can add an instant pop of colour to any LBD.

The Audrey Clutch in Coral & Grey. RRP £95.00.
Clutches are great for a night out and also to wear on a romantic day out. The Audrey Clutch in Coral & Grey would look perfect during the day teamed with a cute floral dress or even with a simple pair of white skinny jeans with a floral top. I have many clutches like this in dark shades and I think I need this one in my collection ASAP!

The Joanna Tote in Black Snakeskin. RRP £200.00.
I love a large tote bag for work as I can fit everything in there including the kitchen skin! Even though my work handbag usually ends up with 10 different lipsticks in the bottom and 20 unused pens!
This black tote is perfect for work as black goes with anything and it also has a super convenient zip pocket on the side perfect for your iPad or Tablet. It also has a large internal pocket, a phone pocket, a small internal zip and if that wasn't enough a cross-body strap... Super practical!

The Monaco Purse in Coral. RRP £82.00.
One of my favourite purses was my Vouis Vuitton one I had many many years ago but after a number of years it eventually fell apart. Ever since I have never found a purse that I have absolutely fell in love with... Until now.
I love the summery coral colour and also the soft elegant leather finish it has too. It has a compartment for my notes, a zip pocket for my coins. This is my top favourite on my wishlist.

Have you ever heard of Lamb 1887? What's your favourite item on their website?

On-the-go Beauty with Weleda Mini's

The festival season may nearly be over but the holiday season has only just begun. The majority of us all have that summer holiday to be looking forward to, whether you're sunning yourself in Jamaica for 2 weeks, Partying in Ibiza on a Girls holiday or even just a romantic weekend break in the UK with your loved one. Weleda have an array of trusted, natural beauty classics in a convenient pocket-sized form.

Whatever type of holiday you are going on this year you can now bring all of your favourite Weleda beauty products with you, yet still pack light. I have a mini selection of some of the mini's that are available, plus I will tell you about some of the other mini's that are available that I have previously tried (in larger form) in the past.

Mini Creamy Body Wash. RRP £1.25, 20ml.
Weleda Body Washes have to be one of my favourites, not only do they cleanse but they contain nourishing ingredients that help to care for your skin without drying it out.
These body washes are available in 5 fresh and natural fragrances: Citrus, Wild Rose, Sea Buckthorn (all above) and also Pomegranate and Lavender.

Wild Rose Deodorant. RRP £7.95, 30ml.
Weleda fragrances may not be everyone's cup of tea as they do smell quite herbal and not that sweet. When on holiday I like to wear my usual sweet perfume of an evening but during the day I like to stay away from any sweet scents as they can be a little OTT when you are in the sunshine The Weleda Rose Deodorant provides a light, slightly floral fragrance that helps to provide a feeling of freshness. The herbal extracts also neutralise bacteria and prevent any unpleasant body odours.

Two other must-haves that are in the Weleda Mini's Collection are:

Mini Skin Food. RRP £2.25, 10ml.
This cult-classic is loved my many A-List Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham. This is also a favourite of mine as it helps to moisturise and replenish your skin, plus it can be used anywhere! I like to use it on my hands during the winter months and also on any annoying dry places like knees, elbows and feet.

Mini Body Oils. RRP £2.95, 10ml.
Weleda's body oils are great as they help to rehydrate and soothe your skin. Each Weleda oil alleviates a specific concern, whether you're looking to relax, banish cellulite or invigorate the skin, there's something for everyone.
I like to pop a couple of drops of the Wild Rose Body Oil into my foot spa when I'm giving myself a pedicure and sometimes I apply as a treat to my skin just before I go to bed, after showering. Then when I wake up I'm left with soft, super moisturised, smooth skin.
All of the body oils available are: Wild Rose, Citrus, Sea Buckthorn, Pomegranate, Lavender and Birch.

Weleda products are available via their Website and also from

Have you tried any Weleda products? Does the 'Mini's' range appeal to you?

Rimmel Glam Eyes | Smokey Brown

Rimmel Glam Eyes - Smokey Brown: RRP £6.99

Hi Lovelies. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and have enjoyed the gorgeous weather we have had.
A couple of weeks ago I took to twitter to vent my anger as I accidentally smashed my favourite Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette ......

In need of a replacement as my favourite neutral shades were shattered all over my floor I came across Rimmel's Glam Eyes Quad in Smokey Brown. This contains all of the shades that I wear everyday and it was a bargain at only £6.99, PLUS Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on as well... Double Bargain!
This quad is great as you can keep it simple by just using the lighter shades or make it a little more dramatic with a smokey eye instead. I really love wearing the 2nd shade (swatched on my hand above) all over my lid with a simple winged liner.

When my Too Faced 'The Return of Sexy' Palette smashed I was contemplating getting myself one of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes but I'm so glad I didn't waste all of that money as this pretty little quad does the trick!

Have you tried any of Rimmel's Glam Eyes Quads? What's your favourite Eyeshadow Palette?

Vita Liberata | NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse

Vita Liberata NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse: RRP £14.95, Tanning Mitt: RRP £4.00.
It's easy to say I have become a fake tan addict lately. I used to be naughty and use the sunbeds as I found fake tan to be a nightmare but sunbeds are not only bad for your skin but I also found it a chore finding the time to go on them to maintain my tan. As mentioned in a previous blog post, I have finally found the perfect fake tan regime for me that leaves me with a perfect tan week after week without looking patchy.
Vita Liberata is a fake tan brand I have heard of for many years but I have never tried out, so I decided to try out their new NKD SKN Medium Tinted Tan Mousse along with their Tanning Mitt.

This fake tan is super easy to apply as it is tinted so you can see where you are applying it to your skin. The tanning mitt also helps to glide the tan over your skin to ensure a streak-free finish.
This tan also dries almost immediately so if you wanted to apply during the day you could literally get dressed straight away (I would still stick to dark clothing) and carry on with your day.

I'm loving so many fake tans at the moment but this fake tan has taken over my high-end favourite Xen-Tan, as it left me with a deep, dark natural tan yet there wasn't any streaks or patches in sight. It also didn't cling to any of my dry patches that I have on my feet which other tans seem to cling too no matter how much moisturiser I put on, so that was an added bonus for me.
It also lasted for 4-5 days too before I needed to add my gradual tanner which I apply in between tanning to help maintain it. I will hopefully have my tanning regime on my blog over the next week.

I really love Vita Viberata NKD SKN and I can't wait to try out more of there products.

Vita Liberata is available Online and also from Boots and Superdrug.

Have you tried any Vita Liberata Products? What's your current favourite Fake Tan?

Dr.Hauschka SS14 Chorus Collection

Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Duo in Daring Green & Passionate Violet: RRP £25.00, Dr.Hauschka Kajal Eyeliner in Taupe: RRP £14.50, Dr.Hauschka Golden Apricot Lipstick: RRP £20.00.
Hi Lovelies. Hope you have all enjoyed your week so far. The world cup final is this evening, who are we all sticking up for?
Dr.Hauschka is a brand that I haven't really tried except for a bronzer last year which was my absolute favourite but unfortunately I smashed it litterally 2 months after I had it **insert sad face here**.
For Spring/Summer 2014 Dr.Hauschka has brought out a gorgeous collection called the Chorus Collection. This is made up of A matte and shimmer blush trio which I really need to get in my collection ASAP, Two eyeshadow duo's in Daring Green and Passionate Violet (above) and Ecstatic Pink and Melancholic Blue, A taupe shade of the new kajal eyeliner and also a lipstick and lip gloss in Golden Apricot.

On today's look I applied Daring Green all over my lid and on my lower lash line then added Passionate Violet inside the crease and blended out for a subtle look. The good thing about these eyeshadows is that they are build-able so you can create a more dramatic look, but as I was wearing this during the day I thought I would keep it more subtle. The green and purple shades also bring out the greeny/blue colour of my eyes too.
I then applied the taupe kajal eyeliner to my lashline and winged it out a little, then blended it out with the applicator on the other end for a softer finish. Dr.Hauschaka's eyeliners have to be one of the best I have ever tried, they are super soft and easy to apply and they also don't irritate my eyes like other eyeliners do.
Finally I finished the look off by applying the Golden Apricot lipstick. This isn't a shade I would normally choose as it is a warm nude shade, but I think it completed the look perfectly.

I really love all of the products in Dr.Hauscha's Chorus Collection and I highly recommend them to anyone that is thinking of trying them out. I also can't wait to create a more dramatic eye look with these shades too.

Dr.Hauschka is available from all Dr.Hauschka Stockists Worldwide including

NOTD | Models Own Utopia Reverse Glitter Gradient

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a lovely weekend, where the hell did it go? I don't know if it's just me but the weekends just seem to be flying by lately.
In my previous blog post (Impulse & Models Own Fragrance & Nail Kit) I showed you the Models Own nail polish I picked up in a promo pack with an Impulse Body Spray. On that post I showed you Models Own Utopia on my nails with Models Own Pink Fizz but I thought I would share the look with you again so I can explain how I achieved the reverse glitter gradient effect.

I applied 2 coats of Models Own Utopia to my nails, Once fully dry I look an old eye shadow brush (one of those rubbish ones you get with every eye shadow) applied a little Models Own Pink Fizz to the sponge then gently dabbed onto the lower part of my nails. I only applied 1 coat of the glitter then I finished off with my favourite top coat.

I love glitter gradient nails but I think this looks a little different reversed and at least if you need to scratch your eye you won't end up with glitter in there! Haha. Also Models Own Utopia is such a pretty shade and I can't wait to experiment wearing it underneath different glitter shades. Models Own Ibiza Mix is next!

What do you think of this nail look? What's your favourite Models Own Nail Polish?

Impulse & Models Own Very Very Pink Nail Varnish, File & Fragrance Kit

Hi Lovelies. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. While on the prowl in Asda the other day, I was looking for a body spray just to keep in the car for whenever I need it. I don't usually use body spray as I prefer my perfume but I seem to go through perfume like no one's business!!
Staring at the Impulse I notice on the bottom shelf hidden away some Impulse & Models Own promo packs. For £4.00 you get your Impulse spray, A Models Own nail file and also a bottle of Models Own nail polish. I decided to pick up the pack that had Models Own Utopia as it has been on my wishlist for AGES yet my local Boots never seems to have it in stock.

As soon as I got home I was excited to test out the nail polish and I teamed Utopia with Models Own Pink Fizz. Utopia is a pretty pearly lilac/grey that looks great underneath any favourite glitter polish.
After rushing to try out the nail polish I completely forgot about the body spray until I opened my wardrobe today and saw it lying there on the side. I decided to give it a bash but I wasn't too keen on the scent as it reminded me of my Boyfriends Lynx! Oh well we can't win them all and at least I finally got the nail polish I had been lusting over.
At least if my Boyfriend ever runs out of Lynx I guess he could use the Very Very Pink instead? Probably not!

What's your favourite Impulse Scent? Would you buy this promo pack?

Xen-Tan Transform Luxe Daily Self Tan

As the summer draws near we all get that teenie bit excited as we can finally get rid of those 80 denier tights and show a little skin! I'm quite olive toned naturally but there's nothing better than having a tan, first of all it makes you look better and second of all it gives you that extra confidence boost.
After fake tanning for years I have finally come up with the perfect regime for me to keep me with a flawless looking tan week after week. I will share my new regime with you all over the next couple of weeks.

Xen-Tan has to be one of my all time favourite fake tan brands, My favourite is Xen-Tan's Deep Bronze Luxe in Dark. On the search for a gradual tanner to maintain my weekly tan I opted for Xen-Tan's Transform Luxe Daily Self Tan in Light/Medium.
Xen-Tan's Transform Luxe has a fresh vanilla scent that also doesn't leave behind that vile biscuit smell after use. I apply the tan using my tanning mitt and it glides on just like any moisturiser. It is also paraben-free so it is ideal for the face and body, Plus it is packed with nourishing moisturisers to help keep the skin deeply hydrated.

I apply this on day 3-4 after applying my weekly tan, leave it on over night then once washed off it has helped to extend my tan leaving me with a fresh olive-toned glow.
Also, don't be fooled by this product as it only says Light/Medium as to me it gave me more of a tan than any other gradual tanners I have tried!
Gradual tanners are great for those of you that are nervous about tanning as you can apply this 2-3 times per week and build your tan to how you want it without the risk of looking like a Wotsit! This product also works great to apply once per week (as mentioned above) just to help maintain and top up your current tan.

This product retails at £24.99 and is available Online and in store at Boots

Have you tried this or any other Xen-Tan Products? What's your favourite Gradual Tanner?
