Makeup Revolution The One Blush Sticks in Pink

Makeup Revolution has completely taken over my makeup collection over the last month and the one product I have been super eager to try (but had to take blog photo's before I could actually use them) was The One Blush Sticks which are cheaper alternatives to the very over priced NARS Multiples, A multi-purpose stick that can be used for the cheeks or lips.
In the range there are 8 shades in total, Malibu, Dream, Rush and Pink which are available in two different finishes (matte or shimmer).

First of all looking at the packaging they have even gone into great detail as the matte shades have matte packaging and the shimmer shades have shiny packaging. I really like it when cheaper brands actually put effort into their packaging and don't just keep it basic!
I have the shades matte pink and pink as these are shades that I usually wear everyday. They are really easy to work with, are creamy in texture and are also super pigmented too. They are easy to work with as you just apply the colour to where you want it then blend with your fingers.

As the two shades are both pink, I find the standard pink to be a little more subtle with a satin finish and the matte to be more vibrant in colour (it can look a little scary in the tube) but once blended it looks super pretty. The colours also work great on the lips by applying to your fingers and sweeping on for a subtle look. They also last a good 4-6 hours too even though I do like to top up my makeup during the day.

This product has to be one of my favourites from Makeup Revolution so far and is an absolute bargain for only £5 compared to NARS Multiples £30 price tag! I really want to try matte rush next and also malibu to see if that might work as a contour colour!

Makeup Revolution is available Online and from Superdrug Stores.

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Petal

Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Petal RRP £4.99

I'm a huge fan of Sleek makeup products and while on the prowl (again) in Superdrug last month I came across this pretty matte lip cream in the shade petal.
Let's start with the good points... The colour is a pretty baby pink colour that is really subtle on your lips. Now for the bad points... I found it really awkward to apply as the coverage wasn't even and it didn't just dry my lips out but made them feel chapped and dehydrated.

I know with matte lipsticks that they can dry out much quicker than normal lipsticks but this literally sapped all of the moisture out of my lips and made them feel dry and really irritated.
When I first set my eyes on this product I thought it was going to be amazing as its packaging looked super 'sleek' and appealing, yet the results were very disappointing.

I really hate giving bad reviews on products and wished I would have looked up a couple of reviews on this product before I purchased it myself. I have lots of favourite Sleek products but I guess next time I should try the Gloss Me range rather than the Matte Me range!

Sleek products are available from Superdrug Online and in Store.

NOTD | Pop Art

Rimmel Rita Ora Breakfast in Bed RRP £2.99 | Rimmel Rita Ora Pop Art Top Coat RRP £3.99
While on the prowl in Superdrug I came across the new Rimmel London Rita Ora Collection and instantly fell in love with the Pop Art Top Coat. Whenever I purchase a new glitter top coat I'm always stuck with what base coat to use underneath, so I also decided to purchase Breakfast in Bed which is also from the Rita Ora Collection.

First of all Breakfast in bed looks NOTHING like it does on the Superdrug website, and is a pretty minty blue shade. The formula of these nail polishes are amazing and you only need two coats plus they DO dry in 60 seconds!
The Pop Art Top Coat on the other hand takes a little getting used to. It took 2-3 coats and lots of dabbing to get the multicoloured glitter hexes on to my nails, but once you have mastered dabbing them onto your nails (I think they apply better like this) and have finished with your favourite top coat, you are left with pretty party nails! I can't wait to have a little experiment with different base coats with the Pop Art top coat.

Have you tried out any of Rimmel's Rita Ora Collection? What's your favourite shade?

Let's Meet in Paris ♡

Cargo Let's Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette RRP £35.00*.
Oui Oui Oui. Cargo's Let's Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette has to be one of my favourite eye shadow palettes EVER. Encased in an elegant damask fabric, it contains a gorgeous selection of 12 highly pigmented shades (all with French fitting names), perfect for A/W 2014. Over the last week I have been creating so many different looks with this palette as the colours are so versatile and work well together.

This has to be one of the most highly pigmented palettes I have ever tried. The colours are blendable and give a professional long-lasting finish. I usually apply my makeup around 7am, and at 5.30pm when I get home from work, my eye makeup still looks perfect without any smudging. PLUS I didn't even use any primer.
The palette also comes with a handy double-ended brush. One end is a shadow brush and the other is an angled liner brush, Nothing like the cheap sponge applicators that you usually get!

Some of my favourite combo's are:

Macaron all over the lid with a Croissant cut crease and winged liner
Bonjour all over the lid with a winged liner for a simple smoky look.
Baguette all over the lid with Versailles on the outer corners for a dramatic smoky effect. Then Louvre in the centre of the lid for an added metallic shimmer.

I will hopefully get some tutorials together of my favourite looks using this palette.

This palette will also make an ideal Christmas present for any Makeup lover and retails at £35.00 from Debenhams.

Vita Liberata PHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan Lotion

Vita Liberata PHenomenal Dark Tan Lotion RRP £37.50
A fake tan that can last up to 3 weeks? Believe me it's true! When I first heard of Vita Liberata's PHenomenal tan I thought to myself, 'how on earth can a tan last so long without starting to fade and go patchy on my skin'. After a year of reading reviews about it I decided to try it out for myself.

After having a read of the instructions I noticed that in order for the tan to last 2-3 weeks it needs to be applied 3 days in a row, rinsing in between applications (I knew there would be a catch!). It applied really easy to my skin using the Vita Liberata Tanning Mitt but looked scarily dark than usual. When I rinsed off the colour guide the next morning I was left with a deep, natural looking, even golden tan. On that same night I decided to apply another application which states on the instructions will then help the tan last up to 1-2 weeks.

After two applications I had a gorgeous dark tan (anyone would have thought I had been on a luxurious holiday to the Caribbean for 2 weeks) and after showering daily and exfoliating every 3 days my tan lasted for nearly 2 weeks with an even fade. Other fake tans usually start to wear under my arms and in the crease of my elbow after 3-4 days but this tan faded without any tell-tale fake tan signs.
This fake tan also dries super quick and doesn't leave you smelling like a biscuit!

If you are a lover of fake tans, I highly recommend that you try out this product.

Vita Liberata is available Online and also from

Rituals Hammam Collection

Rituals is one of my favourite skincare brands and for 2014 they have given their popular Hammam Collection a complete beauty-makeover.
Hammam is one of the oldest cleansing traditions in the world. Originating from Turkey, the Hammam, meaning 'spreader of warmth', helps to cleanse both mind and body to promote inner and outer harmony and balance.
Rituals' revamped Hammam Collection is enriched with revitalising Rosemary and Eucalyptus, and they both to cleanse, soften and nourish your skin.

Hammam Olive Secret | Ultra Hydrating Shower Paste.
This product is completely new to me, I have never heard of a shower paste before in my life! This product is to be used before exfoliating the skin (preferably before using the Hammam Hot Scrub or Body Mud). It's formulated with nourishing olive oil and cleansing eucalyptus to help leave the skin feeling cleansed and super soft.

Hammam Delight | Foaming Shower Gel Sensation.
Rituals shower gels are my favourite! Not only do they cleanse your skin like they should, they also invigorate your senses with their uplifting fragrances.
Using the Hammam shower gel of a morning really helps to wake me up and get me started for the day.

Hammam Body Mud | Purifying Body Scrub.
This product is perfect for using after the Hammam Olive Secret. This is mineral-rich Rhassoul Clay and eucalyptus mud that nourishes the skin. Its micro-scrub also leaves skin feeling smooth and supple without being harsh on the skin.
I like to use this product along with Hammam Olive Secret a couple of times per week to help maintain my fake tan to ensure an even fade without any dry patches.

Next I need to add the Pure Hammam Volumising Shampoo to my collection as I love to use shampoos that have an invigorating fragrances, plus it is volumising, so that's an added bonus.

Rituals is available from selected House of Fraser and John Lewis stores.

Empties #3

Hi Everyone. It's been over a year since I have done an empties post. Obviously over the last year I have used up tonnes more products than what's below, but thought I would share with you what I have used up over the last couple of months and my thoughts on each product along with if I will repurchase them or not.

Bioderma Sebium Gel Moussant.
I keep this on the side in my bathroom and usually use it of a morning while I'm in the shower to cleanse my face. It gently cleanses without drying out my skin, and also works well as a shaving foam for my Boyfriend.
Will I repurchase? It's not something I will miss but possibly in the future as it is a good product.

Bioderma Sensibio Miceller Solution.
After trying out a couple of drugstore Micellar Solutions before trying the Cult Bioderma Sensibio, I have found that some drugstore ones are just as good but for a fraction of the price.
Will I repurchase? It's a lovely product to have but Garnier's is much cheaper, bigger in size and just as good.

Vita Liberata NKD SKN Tinted Tan Mousse.
This product gave me a gorgeous deep, dark tan and is also extremely great value for money.
Will I repurchase? I will in the future but I have other Vita Liberata Tans to use up first.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Activated Treatment.
Since using the Keratin Smooth range my hair has become a lot stronger and more healthy. I use a couple of pumps on wet hair before drying for a soft, sleek finish.
Will I repurchase? Yes. This product is a must-have.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation - Golden Beige.
I have many foundations in my makeup collection but this one is in my top 5. It provides a gorgeous flawless medium-full coverage finish without looking caked onto the skin.
Will I repurchase? In the future, I have lots of others to use up yet.

Seventeen Phwoarr Paint.
It does what it says on the tin... A heavy duty concealer. Perfect under the eyes to conceal those dark circles and to also cover any unwanted breakouts. It also has a creamy formula so it doesn't look too cakey!
Will I repurchase? Possibly once I have tried out my Too Faced one.

MAC Creme Cup Cremesheen Lipstick.
This is not only one of my favourite lipsticks, it's also one of my favourite MAC lipsticks. It's a nude pink shade that has a creamy texture on the lips and wears nicely without drying out your lips.
Will I repurchase? I have actually found a dupe for this shade and will have a comparison on my blog soon.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
This Mascara is one of my favourites. It leaves you with full volume, fluttery lashes thanks to its curvaceous brush.
Will I repurchase? I already have!

Rimmel Space Dust - Aurora.
This is one of my favourite nail polishes that I featured it on My Top Five A/W Nails Polishes. It's unusual for me to use up a whole nail polish and I think I have only ever completely used up three to date! It's a pretty pinky/peach shade with silver micro shimmer and chunky glitters.
Will I repurchase? It's a favourite so why not!

Limited Collection True Red Eau de Toilette 10ml.
I love these little miniature perfumes from Marks and Spencer as you can try them out in a miniature size before paying too much on the larger one. This fragrance has Zingy pineapple and intense orange top notes that smells sweet and refreshing without being too sickly sweet.
Will I repurchase? I think I need the 100ml now!

What products have you used up lately? Any favourites that you will repurchase?

KIKO Luxurious Collection

KIKO Luxurious Collection | Precious Illuminating Bronzer RRP £18.00 | Magnificent Highlighter RRP £10.00 | Sumptuous Kajal Liner RRP £8.00.
Luxurious is the perfect word for the latest collection from KIKO Milano. KIKO is a brand that I really love but their latest luxurious collection has completely blown me off my feet. Not only is it elegant, it's also great value for money too.

Let's start with the Precious Illuminating Bronzer. How gorgeous is this? It's golden embossed case screams elegance and when you open it up the bronzer replicates the case's intricate, sophisticated design. If that wasn't sophisticated enough, the illuminating bronzer is enriched by precious stones that help to soften and smooth the skin.
The bronzer contains four different colours that when mixed together creates an ideal shade for any completion leaving it looking radiant, velvety and most of all, natural. As you can see by the swatch (far left) it isn't really that dark at all, and is the perfect product to use during the Autumn/Winter months as it looks subtle, natural and not harsh on the skin.

Next I have the Magnificent Highlighter in Noble Rosy Silver. This is a water-based, liquid formula highlighting pen that releases a thin and ephemeral pearly layer onto the skin, creating a fresh and radiant effect.
I like to blend this product with my fingers on the bridge of my nose, cheekbones and it teams up great on your cupid's bow with a red lip. Again, this product is perfect for Autumn/Winter as it gives a subtle, dewy, natural glow.
This product is also available in Royal Gold.

Finally, KIKO's Kajal Liners are one of my favourites as they don't irritate my eyes. This Sumptuous Kajal Liner is available in Refined Taupe White (Perfect for on the waterline to make your eyes look bigger) and Elegant Black (above).
These liners are long lasting and are soft and creamy in texture, making them glide easily onto the skin and releasing a dark, striking colour without having to apply too much pressure.
I love to wear these liners on the waterline as they don't irritate me like other liners do and this liner is perfect on the lashline to create a glamorous feline flick!

Also available in the KIKO Luxurious Collection is a Luxurious Face Brush, Divine Reflections Volume Mascara (available in 4 colours) and Supreme Eyeshadow (available in 4 colours).

KIKO MILANO LUXURIOUS is available from KIKO Stores nationwide and online at
