Elizabeth Arden | Eight Hour Intensive Lip Repair Balm

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is a cult classic and helps to calm, protect and hydrate skin for up to eight hours. I didn't know it was available in a Lip Balm until I attended the Merry Hill Debenhams Event last month and we were shown some tips and tricks on how to use it.
This deeply hydrating balm helps to heal dry, chapped lips with intense moisture. Elizabeth Arden also promise that you will see healthier-looking and more beautiful lips with continued use.

Some of the tips we were shown at the Elizabeth Arden counter was to apply a generous amount to your lips then use an old toothbrush to gently exfoliate your lips. This is great to do a couple of nights per week before bed to keep your lips super smooth.
It is also great to apply every night before bed so you wake up with soft, nourished lips of the morning, and is also great as a base before applying your lipstick to stop it from drying out on your lips, especially if you are wearing a matte shade.
It also has a subtle eucalyptus and honey scent and once applied it provides a cooling sensation as well as feeling super soft and light on the lips without feeling greasy.

This has to be one of my favourite go-to lip products. I use it before bed, of a morning and during the day. Since using it I have had super soft, moisturised lips without a dry patch in sight!

This product retails at £20.00 and is available from all good department stores. Some people may think it is a little on the pricey side, but it's well worth it as it will last you a while and your lips won't want to try another lip balm again!

Have you tried the Eight Hour Lip Repair Balm? What's your favourite Lip Balm?

NOTD | Beach Blast

Hi Lovelies, Hope you are all enjoying the gorgeous sunshine... Summer is FINALLY HEREEEE!
A quick NOTD for you today with one of my favourite summer shades, Models Own Beach Bag. This shade is from the Polish for Tans range and is a pretty peachy coral that looks amazing with a tan.
I teamed this shade with Banger from Models Own's Fireworks range, which has a mixture of 5 glitters including blue strands and fuchsia polka dots. Having an accent glitter nail always adds a little more 'fun' to your nails.

What is your favourite combo of nails polishes? Have you tried either of these shades?

Is Your Mascara Better Than Sex ?

Too Faced is a brand that I have only just recently tried and that was their Return of Sexy Palette. When I had the chance to try out another of their products I was super excited as their palette is one of my faves!
Better Than Sex Mascara is a new product that has been added to their range. Claiming to be better than sex this mascara will fulfil your lashes by adding length and tonnes of voluptuous volume. Just after one application of this collagen-fueled formula applied with its curvy silhouette brush will leave you begging for more... Apply 2-3 coats and you will believe in magic!

Not only is this product fun in its name and the cheeky question in the top of the box asking ''was it good for you?'' this mascara is absolutely amazing too! The packaging is elegant, the product leaves you with gorgeous thick, dark, sultry fluttering lashes and it also removes with ease too. It is completely smudge proof and lasts all day without drying out on your lashes.

This is now one of my favourite mascaras and I'm a hard one to please when it comes to mascara as it has to leave me with thick fluttery lashes otherwise it might as well end up in the bin! It's a little more expensive than my average £12 one from Boots but that extra £7 is definitely worth it!

I now need more Too Faced products in my life...

This product retails at £19.00 and is available from Debenhams and Beautybay.com

Also don't forget to check out the hilarious video for this product which is above.

Not Worth the Hype | Macadamia Volumizing Dry Shampoo

I absolutely hate washing my hair everyday. Not only is it a huge chore washing it and getting it all dry but washing everyday can strip the natural oils that your hair needs.
Being a huge fan of dry shampoo and using them every other day in between washes, I couldn't wait to try out the Macadamia Volumizing Dry Shampoo as I'm a huge fan of their hair treatments and thought this dry shampoo was worth a try. PLUS how gorgeous is the packaging!!

Application of this dry shampoo is the same as any other dry shampoo out there, shake and spray approximately 6-8 inches away from your hair, concentrating on the roots. Then I normally leave for 10 seconds, use my fingers to work the product through my roots then brush out and style.
This product smells absolutely delicious and fruity and also doesn't leave any white marks in your hair. On the downside for a cost of £19.50 I expected it to be perfect, but it left my hair feeling sticky and the added volume made my hair more frizzy and hard to manage.

I really hate giving bad reviews but for £19.50 a bottle I expected A LOT more from this product. I think I will stick to good old Batiste Dry Shampoo for a bargain of £3 instead!

If you did want to try this product out for yourself, it is available Online, from Online Stockists and from Harvey Nichols.

Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your week so far. I thought summer was here the weekend after we had some gorgeous sunshine but today it is now pouring down with rain. Typical!

In preparation for summer here are my top 5 nail polish picks...

Models Own - Shades.
This nail polish is from the latest Polish for Tans collection. It is a gorgeous coral pink that looks great on your nails or toes with a summer tan. I'm not normally one for Barbie-like pink shades but this is a more 'wearable' pink for me as it has a slight coral tone.

Models Own - Beach Bag.
Beach Bag is my favourite shade out of the Polish for Tans collection. It is a pretty peachy orange shade that again looks great with a tan and is also a really fun colour for the summer.
I also teamed Beach Bag with Shades (above) in my last blog post to create a gradient/ombre nail effect (LINK).

Models Own - Cornflower Gleam.
As you can see Models Own is my favourite nail polish brand with the first 3 favourites being from them! Cornflower Gleam is from the Hyper Gel collection. This collection gives a high gloss full coverage finish just after one coat. Cornflower blue is also one of my favourite shades of blue and this looks really pretty on the nails.

Barry M Gelly - Sugar Apple.
Last year I was raving about MUA's Pistachio Ice Cream and this year I have found the perfect dupe for this summer... Barry M's Sugar Apple. This is a gorgeous pale mint green/blue that I could easily wear everyday on my nails as it goes with everything! Also every time I wear this nail polish I get so many complements on the colour.

Seventeen Nail Effects - Tropical Punch.
For my last nail polish I thought I would add a top coat. Seventeen's colour clash nail effect top coat in tropical punch is packed full of matte glitter in various sizes and has a mixture of peach, white, lime and blue micro pieces and also larger pieces.
I like to add this to different base coats to give different looks to my nails and lately I have been loving wearing it on top of a simple white base coat.

What are your favourite nail polishes for summer? Any you recommend?
Have you tried any of my favourites?

NOTD | Beach Bag & Shades

Hi Everyone. Hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine today... Summer is finally here! Lets just hope it actually lasts us a while.
For my nail of the day I decided to use two of my favourite shades from the Models Own 'Polish for Tans' collection: Beach Bag & Shades.
Beach Bag is a light peachy orange shade and Shades is a bright coral pink. I thought these shades would look great together by doing a gradient effect on my nails.

Most of you should know how to achieve this look, but for those of you that don't it is super easy. All you need is a make up sponge (pictured above), then once your base coat is dry apply a stripe of each colour onto the sponge and press it down firmly onto your nail making sure the product covers all of your nail.
I normally apply 2-3 coats by repeating the previous step, then finish with your favourite top coat and remove any nail polish from the skin using nail polish remover and a cotton bud.

I love gradient nails as you can create so many different looks by trying out different colour mixes.

What are your favourite shades to use when doing gradient nails? Have you tried any of Models Own Polish for Tans nail polishes yet?
