AWOL

Image: We Heart It.

I thought I would do a little update post as I have been AWOL over the last couple of months.
Juggling work full time, my 6 year old daughter, my partner, our 2 pooches, plus cooking and cleaning of an evening, I can't find any time (or brain energy) to sit down and write a blog post! When I first started my blog in 2012 I used to work of an afternoon/evening, so during the day I had plenty of time to write blog posts and had blog posts up nearly every to every other day plus uploaded videos to my YouTube Channel.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been thinking whether or not to say goodbye to Ohh So Glam and goodbye to the world of blogging. After a lot of thinking I don't think I could quit my blog and never blog again. I love sharing my thoughts on beauty products and also the amazing blogging community that comes with it.
I have decided to carry on with blogging for now and will aim to get at least one post up each week, If I have the time to write more then that's an added bonus!

I would like to thank all of my readers that have still been reading and commenting on my blog even though it lacks any new content, I didn't think I would even get 1 reader when I first started blogging, let alone the amount of people that read it daily from all over the world.

How do you juggle blogging with everyday life? What are your favourite blog posts?

Makeup Revolution | #happylips Love Pink Lipstick

Makeup Revolution #happylips Love Pink Lipstick - RRP £3
Hi Lovelies. Hope you are all having a lovely week so far... The weekend is nearly here! Hooray.
Makeup Revolution is a brand that I have read/heard lots about, yet haven't tried out myself... until now!
One of the first products that I have tried and absolutely L O V E from Makeup Revolution is their Happy Lips Love Pink Lipstick.
For its bargain price of £3 this lipstick is pure elegance... and look how pretty it looks. It has an intense fuchsia pink core, surrounded by the comfort and hydration of an Argan Oil outer.

This lipstick may take a little getting used to as having the balm on the outside makes it rather awkward to apply perfectly to the lips. With this product I use a lip brush to apply the colour on my lip line, then fill in using the lipstick for a high shine and moisturising finish.

For only £3 I'm super impressed with this product. It may be a tad awkward to apply, but for its bargain price and gorgeous finish I really can't fault it!

Makeup Revolution is available Online at Makeuprevolutionstore.com and also from Superdrug Stores Nationwide.

Have you tried any Makeup Revolution products? What's your favourite?

Bioderma Hydrabio Moisturising Mask & Exfoliating Cream

Hi Everyone. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
Now Autumn is here, I have noticed the weather start to take its toll on my skin. My skin has become more dry and is also lacking its radiant summer glow.
Bioderma's Hydrabio range is perfect for dehydrated, sensitive skin, helping it to become more hydrated, sipple and radiant.

Hydrabio Exfoliating Cream. RRP £10.50: This is a gentle moisturising scrub, perfect for sensitive skin. I like to use this twice a week after cleansing as it helps to keep my skin smooth, moisturised and more radiant.

Hydrabio Moisturising Mask. RRP £14.50: After using the Exfoliating Cream, I like to finish off with the Hydrabio Moisturising Mask. This helps to soothe sensitive skin and also adds an extra boost of moisture. Again, after use my skin is smooth, moisturised and more radiant.

Using these two products twice a week during the autumn/winter months banishes my dull dry skin, and leaves me with a radiant summer glow all year round.

The Bioderma Hydrabio Range is available online at Escentual.com.

Have you tried any products from the Hydrabio Range? What's your favourite Bioderma Product?

15 Minute Meals | Poached Eggs

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and are having a lovely week so far. I thought I would start a new series of blog posts called '15 Minute Meals'. Having a busy lifestyle with my full time job and the little one I find that once I've finished work and spent over an hour in the kitchen cooking and tidying up, it's nearly 8pm until I finally get to sit down! I love meals that are quick, easy and most of all healthy.
One of my favourite quick meals is a very simple poached eggs on crumpets.

What I used:

4 Medium British Lion Eggs
4 Warburton (or any other brand) Crumpets
12 Mushrooms halved
1 Cal Fry Light Olive Oil
Black Pepper
Low Fat Butter (For Crumpets)

Serves 2 | Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

This meal is pretty easy to rustle up. I start by halving my mushrooms and add them to my wok with a couple of sprays of 1 Cal Fry Light. I then add a little water to the bottom of my egg poacher then crack the eggs open into the dividers. If you want to make poached eggs the proper way you can do so, but I prefer to make them in the poacher as it makes it a little easier.
The eggs will only need between 5-7 minutes on a medium heat, even mine went over a couple of minutes and wasn't runny like I usually have them. While the eggs are cooking and you are keeping an eye on your mushrooms pop your crumpets in the toaster until toasted.
Finally it's time to plate up. I add a generous amount of low fat butter to my crumpets, place the poached eggs on top and finish with the mushrooms on the side and a touch of black pepper on top to season... Bon App├ętit.

This meal is super simple and one of my favourites to eat at least once a week whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are so many different recipes out there that you can try using poached eggs.

Are these series of blog posts something you'd like to see? Do you have any favourite 15 Minute Meals?
